More polar coordinates! More "whoop! whoop!" As an alum of the birth of the raging, flaming phoenix we call the zzyzx, I demand more tales of the days of giants! More of the birth of spandex! Has Dave been mocked lately? What was his wrath? Mo re of the hypnosis and the madness of the plum(b)! NOW!
hi just passing through
To make it load quicker, I moved most of the old comments here to www.ihoz.com/oldguestbook.html.
Hey, ZZYZX, I'm not dead, I'm just reincarnated @ Turbo Net:). Hope all's been well in your 'neck of the woods'!

Nice Page! (meanings on so many levels;)

"You start a conversation, you can't even finish it. You're talking alot, but you're not saying anything." You better run, run, run, run away...wo wo wo wo....yeah yeah yeah yeah!!!!
Hey ZZYZX, Love the web page....finally someone devotes as much time to interstate highways as I have. My odyssey began the summer after graduating from highschool, driving from Connecticut to California in three days....and I thought I was hardc ore! This past week however I was forced to drive from Phoenix, AZ back to my college in Ohio nonstop, covering 2200 miles in 36 hours...nothing like seeing the sun go down and come up on the same ride. "Sleeping on the interstate, wah-oh-oh...It's a Wild, Wild Life"! - Evan
really great page!! loved it! FRIENDS OF DOC HOLLIDAY UNITE! Since you hail from las cruces you may be familiar with the jornada desert and the black range mountains? One of my favorite places on the planet, why im not to sure. Well send me that ev ery set list show thing or every show's set list. whatever. keEp on movin and your right suzanne vegas third album does eat ass...
stats, stats, stats.
walking afungus the clouds I find confussion and my own sense of being, yet why is my dismay or my thoughts different! The truth is only with whom it lies. "If you don't think that's a soul sacrifice i got news for YA" keep on keeepin on.
hey what up?
I am glad to know that i have heard a full one third of all the songs Phish has ever played live. Looking forward to five more shows this fall and summer. Maybe my stats will improve. Pretty damn cool if you ask me.
Love your website, keep it coming!
This is a cool page! I'm a total road and highway buff. I was studying the Thomas Guide before I was even reading books! I guess we're all nuts, but we'll never be lost!
My dispair was nearly complete. I had lost my job as a nursemaid to the mongoloids and was forced into slavery in the high palace of commerce. I was too tired to drink (Lord, Lord!). Too tired to smoke(Tell it! Tell it!). Too low to slake my lust( Have Mercy!). Then, shining in the distance as a lighthouse---the goldfish! The one True Carp! The risen redemption of my misery! Spandex. Praise Be.
word.
Just gotta say that this is my favorite site. I would be interested in seeing stats on how well each of Phish's studio albums are represented in their shows over the years, at certain venues, holidays, etc.
Hey I really like your site. I was able to find out what songs I've heard live and didn't realize because I was not in a normal frame of mind. :)
Phish needs to go to Alaska during a summer tour (it's a little cold there in the fall). I worked at Denali Ntn'l Park in '94 and '95 and there are plenty of phishheads who would flock to Anchorage for a show. Not to mention all the cannery workers on the Kenai Penninsula. Blues Traveler went there in '95 and sold out.
i was just checking this out
heLLo, i wanted to estabLish the society for the preservation of Lawn gnomes. i think they have one in poLand. anyway, i wanted to state that your site is superb - i have certainLy enjoyed severaL perusaLs. what is your opinion of goats. i, myself, am deeply troubled by the fact that i've never been to outer mongolia. how many roads must a man walk down before he gets tired and eats a granola bar? do you know?

it would be cool to see you average out which album gets more play live. like which songs off which albums get more play on stage. did i just say the same thing twice?
What a cool site! I love the Interstate system part. I live near the shortest Interstate!

Devoted road warrior - time my trips through phish (most of my collection to get from Butte, Montana to Seattle.) Well trained bladder -- glad to hear of others who value no stops.

dear dave,
how brave must a man be to "look into the lions eye's and If (he) tastes the candy (he'll) get to the surprise" well i cant really answer that but what i can tell you is that there is a party goin on in october 99, it's at my house cause i turn twenty nine, well 23 actually but three dont rhyme.
I am looking for a CD copy of two shows: 10/29/98 at the Greek in Los Angeles and 9/17/99 at the Shoreline in Mountain View. My computer doesn't get rec.music.phish, so I'm hoping for some feedback from here. I've been to 15 shows and these are the only two I do not have yet. I am willing to trade, as I have lots of shows - including soundboard from Lemonwheel on CD. Thanks! Peace & Love Dan
Good Morning. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the stats Dave. You rule!! Say hi to the kids at Noah's Bagels.
Hi. You're funny! Your travel style is exactly opposite of mine. I guess we wont be waltzing across the country together very often. Well God be with you. Kat
Hey I just wanted to say that I love this web site. It's great to be able to make up my own Phish stats. I also wanted to say that I think it would be cool if you added to the "Songs not heard yet" category. I like this feature a lot and it would be cool (if it is possible) to make the category list 20 songs you haven't heard yet or more. Well, Thanks a lot.

Are you the same Dave Steinberg from Dallas?
WOWEE!!
never before has a discordian site interested me so much.... never.. Well, ok, there was this one in Vegas, but that's besides the point.. And what is the point? Never put ketchup on your cat. Definatly.
Enjoyed your section on the Interstate Highway System.
looking for road maps and mileage to and from different places can you help?
looking for road maps and mileage to and from different places can you help?
thank you so much for having this website. For the life of me, I couldn't remember anything from my first three phish shows and this place told me everything I needed to know. Thanks!
How does one say "zzyzx"?
How does one say "zzyzx"?
One says "Zzyzx", "Zzyzx" I hope that helped.
SET IN MOTION IN THE HIGH GEAR OF YOUR SOUL!!! YOU GOTTA RUN LIKE AN ANTELOPE, OUT OF CONTROL!
Lots of obscure stuff I never knew about interstates. Now if I could only find someone who cares to listen.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to your site. It's a great way to waste time!!!
Cool information! thanks. Will the phish play Zappa in Hampton? My eyes are going crazy. but i didn't noitice the theme from 2001 a space odyssey-1.An extended adventurous wandering. 2.A spiritual or intellectual quest. farewell
I remember seeing the ZZYZX turn-off on the hiway to Vegas. I always wondered what it was.
I love your site. Being able to generate my own stats is like a dream come true. Thanks for the fun
Unfortunately, we do not know the name that Errand planned to use to replace "Lizards." This piece of knowledge would have revealed more about Errand's character. Maybe, just maybe sine Errand's last name was Wolf, he would rename the Lizzards to the Wolves?? Maybe, and even if that dosen't sound right, Errand's name even states Wolf, as not to be trusted, and vicious....Tela is NOT a spy!
just saw phish @ reynolds 12/16/99, all creativity has been sapped.
Hello, everybody I was just wandering if anyone thinks that "log" would be a good name for a dog. Then I would have a "dog log". ehh?
This page is very cool. It kept me busy for a while. One song you missed. 2/7/93 - Clementine (I think it is spelled that way). Great idea though. I love it.
Must correct my mistake - I said that Clementine needed to be added to Feb. 7, 1993. As I now see, it is was already done. My bad.
I'm not trying to be a fuck up, i'm just trying to get all fucked up.
You, might I say, take what it means to be a fan to a new level. The fact that you compile this information for other fans and provide it in so many accessable and user-friendly ways really is something special. Keep up the good work! I am impressed beyond explanation.
Am I supposed to write something gut wrenchingly different and obscure? Hope all is well. Smile Always.
what's up it's stuart i'm from jersey and i love phish, florida was the greatest experience of my life love to do it again same time same place. i've only been to 5 shows and ever since then my life has changed, the atmosphere and people at phish shows is like nothing in the world, so peacefull and happy the drugs also make it good (Dank Budda) just wanted you to know i'm a phriendly phan and send me any new info or any interesting things you want to share about phish. thanks Stuart

Good Gawd, Zzyzx!!!! Your page still inspires, amuses and confuses me! I've just turned my 1,000th customer on to the IHOZ. Friends still can't believe it when they 1st check the stats out. THANK YOU for being you and doing what you do. So well.

I'm directing a film this summer called Zzyzx Road.
ZZYZX,
Cool info on the Interstate Highways. I was looking for a map of I-80 in PA/OH and found your site. Cool stuff. And I agree, I-99 should be GONE!
By thew way, you can go an all freeway route to NY by way of I-95. If you take I-95 North through Philadelphia into NJ, I-95 becomes the NJ Turnpike after going over I-295 and I-195. If you go over the GW Bridge in NY from the NJ Turnpike, it is I-95. You have to use the spurs to get onto the NJ Turnpike which is I-95.
Later,
Kev
hey, i enjoyed wasting my time with you :-). Phish is a great band, and a great experience altogether, may peace be with all of you!!

Phish to Alaska. June. 20 hours daylight. Say no more.
How about at Galbraith Lake? That's not quite on the interstate system; mi. 385 Dalton Highway, just north of the Brooks Range. What a vista, that.
Just wanted to let you know that this is an awesome page. Great job.

I have been to about 125 shows since 1993. In have tried to bring up my stats about 10000 times and i can never get it to work . i don't mean to be an asshole but this page sucks! After i choose my shows in have nothing else to pick so it sends me to all shows and there venuye names, In understand that this site is hard to deal with and hard to maitan but tell us it doesn't work for shit man. i've spent many a wine glass on this priject i think i will do it myself because this page sucks@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
zzyzx, you're the fuckin' bomb. seriously, it makes me happy to know that other people ramble about random shit as much as we do. i just wish i had the motivation to make a web page out of it
Thanks for keepin it real! Hope to meet ya all at summer tour. Much love and respect from The Rhode Island posse, stay good.
I'm a better man knowing that out of 7 shows, I've seen LBL and Piper 4 times when the number of times expected to play each song is 0! Anyways, thanks for the great page, ZZYZX, and keep up the strong work. It's a lot of fun!
tomorrow's the big day...good luck getting NYC tics
The stuff on the interstates was great!
I-97 in Maryland is not even an interstate, totally in Maryland! Same with I-66 in Virginia.
For a long time, I-66 was a road that went nowhere. It was built in the late 70's starting in Front Royal (in the mountains) and came to a dead stop at the beltway (I-495) for many years because citizens of norther Virginia didn't want an interstate going through THEIR neighborhoods. Thus, massive traffic jams at its terminus with 495 for many years! Problem was finally solved somewhat by putting up sound barriers (don't want to hurt the residents ears!) and reducing the lanes to two lanes. Also, restricted access during rush hours. You cannot travel east into DC in the morning unless you are a commuter vehicle, same in reverse in the evenings. Still have those backups though.
Don't feel too sorry for the residents near I-66, though, property values skyrocketed as a result.
Hi there chookie...I love your website, and you of course :)

i logged on to see if Phish had ever played "Paradise City" by GnR. Nope, which is surprising because I think it would be a fantastic jam. Much to my despise, however, i see they have played "Wind Beneath My Wings". Sometimes, I tell ya ...
good work, man.

I happened upon this site while searching for information on next week's SCI show in LaHood Park, Mt. We too were at the Blue Grass festival in 98 that you wrote about. My husband and I drove our yellow school bus of love to the show along with our guardian angel Sierra Rain, who was only two weeks new at the time. Oh yes, and what a magnificently unforgettable display of god's electrical prowess! When the downpore began we moved on to our cozy bus and eventually drifted into sweet slumber to the tranquil sounds of Leftover Salmon. That was Sierra's first SCI show. She's 2 now and we are excited to take her to next week's show. It's possible we crossed paths at some point during the 98 festival. Never the less, we delight in sharing with you the memories of such a fufilling experience. We wish you continuous blessings throughout your travels.

Would you believe my first show was a Gamehendge set? Pretty much in its entirety, as far as hindsight allows me to remember. Charleston, WV, summer 1994. Had no idea what I was seeing or the value I'd place on it later...
For a stat freak like me, this is a great site.

Hey Zzyzx,
You have something in common with my dog -- his name is Zyzzx too. Yes, we got his name from that little highway sign in the middle of the desert between Los Angeles and Lost Wages. I have enjoyed traveling that road many times and miss my frequent trips to lose a paycheck (I live in Texas with the good old boys now). Loved the website!!
Hey there! This is a GREAT site! I've been into Phish for a couple of years now and the stats represented here are an invaluable reference tool. I will be visiting here VERY OFTEN! Keep up the great work!
Hey there Zzy; just wanted to compliment you on the incredible pages...for a stat phreak it's absolutely amazing...i also wanted to give you big ups on your other love of road tripping. i lived in ID AZ UT and CO over the course of the last 4 years and im now anchored in albany (site of show #1 this fall!), but i still love to get in my trusty '69 scout and see how far i can go on twinkies and mountain dew. anyway...keep on truckin' brother and good thanks again for the love.
trying to live a life thats completely free!! great site! fun times for all!
trying to live a life thats completely free!! great site! fun times for all!
Love the road trip page... I'd love to see more stories... my best road trip story was from Denver to Sacramento (short for your standards, I know)... At the time I was working the graveyard shift, so not only had I been at work since 10:30pm, I usually woke up around 4pm. After I got off work at 7am, I hit the road for California. It was snowing. It kept snowing all the way through Laramie, Wyoming. I even spun off I-80 once when a semi-truck decided to move into my lane and I had to brake quickly. I made it to Sacramento around Midnight (18 hours later), pulled off the side of the road, and slept. I had made it.
Hey man...i'll web page. definately would be easier if you had some links to the pages at the bottom...kinda confusing. Other that that..pretty fuckin sweet

If Phish is the 'Star Trek' of music, then all hail Lt. Commander Dave 'ZZYZX' Steinberg's Phish (& String Cheese) Statistics page! I couldn't imagine getting home from any show withOUT updating my stats... Through 14 shows (OK, so I'm a rookie), Loving Cup & Prince Caspian (???) lead with 6 appearances each. Still haven't seen Foam or Lizards among others...
Still awaiting the inclusion of the now-open I-86 in PA/NY, wondering what part of nowhere, PA it runs into I-90??? Also cannot find the place where that park-'n'-ride is?
SHUTTLEBUUUUSS!!!
Ahhh, memories. The era of the trianle inequality theorem and canned baby seal. Alright, enough of the past, however halcyon those days on the Hudson used to be. Sent you an email. Sounds like the NW agrees with you. The midwest agrees with me. Glad to know IHOZ is still around, it's a great site.
Advice: non-wacky - dude, turn on the virtual wrap here.
I AM THE ONE TRUE CARP!
um, that's all.
Thanks for a great site. It takes deadication to get all these stats, thanks for all the leg work.
Peace, Love, and Good Karma
You know in finding this wonderful PHISH page I'm curios about how many internet jockies know of "ZZYZX" road in between Los Angeles and Las Vegas????
Lovin' it. I've always wondered how many times I've heard Big Furry Creatures From Mars. Now I know. Thanks for bringing me the inner peace I've longed for after all these years of searching. Who knew your web site would be the answer.
"Watch out for the gypsy children with electric dresses, I heard they're insane."
Just wanted to say, I use the site so much looking up things about show and all. It is so sweet having correct imformation and not having to looking in a million places to them. Thanks for all the time and effort put into this site. Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR, and may your year to come be fill with great love, great joy and most of all great MUSIC!!
Hey Z-Man; just wanted to let you know you helped me out, I had a tape that had the wrong year and city on it and I was able to find out what show it actually was(3/22/93 Set II if you were wondering). Your site rocks!

Just testing the book
I am the "Z" man. My real name is Zzyzx, would like to hear from others who have chosen or been given that name.
Hey There, Zzyzx:
Kudos on the nice site; I especially enjoy the snide comments after some of the 2-digit interstates evaluated.
One comment on the mileage on I-10 in New Mexico, however. Your blurb on 10 says that it has 160 miles through the state. Beg to differ. I live in Las Cruces and drive the road to El Paso frequently, and I know for sure that the first milepost upon your return to New Mexico (blessed that you're leaving Texas) is 164.
There is also (a rather new) interchange, built within the last 10-12 years, Exit 162, just beyond the New Mexico rest stop and the rebuilt Anthony TX interchange (Exit 0). 162 replaced the old interchange to Anthony NM that was about one mile further north, er I mean, west on I-10...it will take you to the lovely hamlets of Anthony (to the west) or Chaparral (east), and their lovely trailer colonias.
Unlike other NM State Highway Dept. actions, this new interchange is a quite convenient shortcut for Las Crucens/southern New Mexicans heading to the east side of El Paso that don't want to take TransMountain Road (Loop 375, Exit 6 in Texas). T'Mountain often closes in bad weather, and going through the "Anthony Gap" on 404 is a less-traveled and lower-elevation road. It meets War Road outside Chaparral NM, which you can take north to White Sands Missile Range or south into El Paso. Handy interchange, that 162.
As I said, Keep up the good work!
Bill B.
Las Cruces NM
ZZYZX is a road near Barstow. It was also the magic letters
that you could say to transport you into the caverns of the
original artificial intelligence game by Crowther and Woods,
called "Adventure". This game was developed in the 1970's,
(I believe), at MIT's Artificial Intelligence Lab (I believe).
Do you know which came first, the game Adventure, or the
road ZZYZX near Barstow? i.e. Do you know when the road was
named?
Hey, just bummin around about no tour after kickin it at EVERY SHOW from the fourth of July to the Mesa out in Cali....
What an unreal trip that was... hope all the Pham are doing well, although I see some of the kids from Deer Creek are still in some deep shit. Sucks. Well, "Troy" here saying hey to everyone out there, looking forward to another tour as soon as it hits... keep em comin'

Great site...I love it! Although your Las Cruces-Baltimore trip makes my St. Louis-Baltimore trip seem lame now. ;-) Good stuff...I'll keep visting often.
Just found this site through a search engine one night. I typed in "interstates" (because I was bored out of my mind) and one of the choices was this one.
anyway, pretty cool site and the roadtrip and interstate sections are really fascinating! Lots of useless stuff to know for people who do road trips as much as I do.
one more thing:
how does one pronounce zzyzx?
just curious
good gally miss molly...........this is what i call good stuff kids go for.......bless all.
I-87 ends in Bronx, NY, not New York, NY as you indicate.
Also, I-78 goes through Jersey City, NJ, clearly a major city.
Great site! Check out my music and free mp3 downloads at www.mp3.com/mhayes If you like it, please tell your friends.
Hey ZZYZX: LOVE your page!! Brings back memories of leaving LA in April, 1980 and seeing the Atlantic Ocean slightly south of Brunswick, ME in 2 days, 23 hours and 30 minutes! LV LA 1:30PM PDT; AR beach, Cundy's Harbor (Brunswick burb) 4:00 EDT. Ya gotta love it! Took a drive away ('79 TBird) to a guy in Boston...they gave me 9 days...HA! Have taken hundreds of other trips...radio turned up...plenty of coffee....70+++!
Well, interstates a-la-zzxyx! Everytime I've seen that weird road i've wondered about it. And I thought I was a road geek...
There is a name for the malady which I have!
I AM A ROAD GEEK!
It is all explained now!
As someone who has been to DC and Florida, Arizona and Mexico, I find myself doing this exact thing. Ironically, although I've been on I-80 from Salt Lake City to Cleveland, there are parts in central Iowa I have not been on yet. And I wondered what was up with I-17 in AZ!
I bow down to you for your knowledge and will surely use it when and if I ever make my own.
(PS: I-80 is actually 306 miles in Iowa.)
(PPS: Where did ZZYXZ come from anyway?)
You make me feel good!!!!!!!!!Thanks.
Wow Z! I love your site! Just stopping by to say *Hi* from your favorite little #lg bitch... SaLsTer!! I LOVE YOU PAL! David *hearts* Jess!
Wow, I thought I was strange to want to find out everything possible about the interstates I commonly use for road trips. Now that I found this web site, I know that there are others like me who also happen to be into jam bands. Very cool.
Your phish stats generator is the coolest thing I've seen in quite some time.
You have made my page MUCH cooler!!

I'm not what you would call a complete PHAN, but Phish makes me happy to be alive now, what with this pop culture and its horribly plastic music strangling my generation. From a pure Dionysian to Phish- "Keep on truckin with your bad ass Dionysian selves!"
P.S. Please go back on tour soon
Hey Z! Awww man, I just love your site so much:) YOU RAWK! *$)#)@!#)!* Just stopping by to say hi again! See you in #lawngirl ol buddy ol pal! w00t! SaLsTer *hearts* Zzyzx!

NONE.
Well, the existence of Phish stats initially scared the hell out of me. 'What the hell are these hippie freaks doing?'I wondered. But after a few shows, I came to see the err of my ways. You are my statistical god, zzyzx.
The beard is still a problem, but I would be willing to overlook that if you could do me an itty bitty little favor and rename the 'zzyzx stats' page PHISHTISTICS.
Whaddya ya say?
:p

Phunny the Web sites you find when you're not even trying to find them ... Peace to you, David! :-) Best of luck in all you do!
Bring back the cheese stats, I have no idea who is responsible for the insult, but I'm sorry that they typed without thinking. Hope to see them back online soon!
I just wound up here by looking up "Outer Mongolia" in a search engine. who were a truly cool group here in Burlington VT back in the 90s. anyway, now, as I'm here, I figured I'd say Hi, let ye's know the new Alphabitch Afterbirth zine is out, & to remind you that Nancy was never Taube. how do I know? he's my roommate, is why! & has some cool new music, so email the guy- batfishtiger@yahoo.com.
anyway. s'all for now.

Just Passin' through, I knew that there had to be someone else out there, who loves road maps, and the interstate system as much as I do. Finally a web site that I can relate to. Keep up the good work, and if possible get more of those exit signs posted if possible.
damn, I thought i was the only techie working in columbia tower.. was....
i must say i think you're on to something with the tela not a spy essay. i went back and read the text of TMWSIY to review and find no glitches in your argument. somewhere she's off staging a runaway golf cart marathon

Just wandering in to say hi. Where else can you get Phish stats and info on the Interstate highway system and other great random stuff. Hey Dave, drop me an e line some time!
I got a question for ya about an incident during our Bard days.
cheers,
Christie S
Hi Z,
Is it just me or is there something screwy with an entire interstate being funnelled onto a onelane 25 MPH off-ramp that merges with a 4-lane city street complete with stoplights like I-55 Northbound does in Memphis?
Regards,
Bob M.
I cannot believe there is a website dedicated to Zzyzx!
I always thought it was the road that led to Area 51:
ZZ -- military term
YZ -- 25 (Y) + 26 (Z) = 51
X -- well, X marks the spot of Area 51!
Anyhoo, cannot wait to see more of this site!
Cheers,
JK
Amazing stats... one thing though... I was looking for Yerushalayim Shel Zahav, and you don't have it listed for the show: 6-26-94 Municipal Auditorium, Charleston, WV. That's the gamehoist show. It was played after Demand, and is the last song before the encore.
I myself inspire to take a road trip at some point. Would be totally awsome.
Say what you will about interstate highways: They've destroyed completely the glory and glamour of the old highway; mom-and-pop stores boarded up with weathered, broken neon; McDonalds, Subway, Exxon, T/A trucker t-shirt oasis devoid of chrome napkin dispensers and condom machines. But, tell me, do you not rejoice when coming off of US 287 or something onto I-10 near Ozona (???). That red-white-and Rambler Marlin blue that fills the soul with that peaceful easy feeling. Yeah, mister ,you're gonna getta flame-broiled Whopper soon, just be patient. Count the mileposts, or play the alphabet game with the signs. I do, makes the time fly by. So what if Fred's filthy diner is dead? His food made you sick. Botchulism. At least at Wendy's if you get the runs you can take your stake and stake your claim in a class-action law suit. Wendy has a lot more dough than Fred, has bleach too. Imagine driving through 100,000 Kingman, Arizonas. 2 lanes. Stoplights. Left turns, right turns, U-turns because of that scary dark man. Imagine averaging 30mph across this land. 2nd gear, third if you're lucky. Mister do you take I-5, 10, 15 twenty-five-thirty to work? Try taking Main, to Spruce to 3rd to Davis to 14th Ave NE instead. Thank Ike for your I's!

It is SO fun to see so many other highway travelers. Living west has given new meaning to BLM too. Keep on Truckin'
Great website! I recently took a 2000 mile road trip from Lubbock, Texas to northern Wyoming. Can't wait to take another one.
Ohh me Zz, I was looking around Entertainment Weekly, reading Trey's CD review and what-not, so I decided to look up Phish stuff. Surprisingly enough, they have a good ammount. Anywho- so I was reading they're "Hook, Line, and Sinker: Phish A-Z" and guess who happened to be Z? Hahhaa. I know you already knew you were on it, but then I thought "why not boost zz's already insanely huge ego?":)
Z- ZZYZX'S PHISH STATS Like baseball fans, Phishheads are obsessed with statistics. David "ZZYZX" Steinberg's website (ihoz.com/phishstats.html) meticulously tracks which songs are played when and how often.
Bahahhaa. Well Z, I guess somebody thinks you're cool:).
See you in #lawngirl where we can make fun of Jordy..
-salster;)
I believe the actual mileage for GA is 200 not 173. Augusta, GA's exit is 196 and it is only about 4 miles from the SC/GA State line.
Thanks for the great info.
WOW ... another 'map maniac'! i just finished a 'take-off' of the IH system from state roadmaps received from 'ask for our <...superlatives...> travel guide' website links for all the states. well, about 6 failed to send anything & 9 neglected the maps! the bundle of 'can u really fold these back?' documents range in quality from really shitty to very detailed. after dropping all the data i could get into my database, i started searching around for some decent correlation/confirmation of my bleary-eyed work. and here i are! except for the xxx.xx exact data, my numbers were within a couple of miles of yours. then, after grabbing a lot of your mileage, and being quite entertained with your (wierd to some but nrml to ppl like us) notes & quips & stuff, i took a few (about 200+) minutes to slide around your site & links ..... hell of a job!!!!! so ... thanks for the numbers ..... for the realization that there's some 'out there' stranger than moi ... & for a fine time on-line! i'll be back often !!

Thught I would look you over, I'm interested in the Galpagos Islands.
i have alway's thought of the interstate system as my home. almost every two years my family picked up and moved some where so we would drive all day and night until we reached our new tempory home. so when i granted the gift of freedom @ 16, bought my first car and started on my own adventures, it only seemed natural to keep moving. shortly after i finished school i ran off with the carnival and embarked on a mad race of interstate chris crossing north america for over a year. in smaller trucks where log's are not need, me and friends would stay up for day's at a time, pushing the governor to point break, not remembering where we were the week before. i haven't been able to function in normal society since.. fuck em if they can' take a joke. safe passage friends
Hi there,
I just happened to run into your web page on Interstate Highways and I wanted to ask about another anomaly of parallel Interstates that cross each other. The most annoying one is I-75 & I-85. This doesn't compute. There must have been some politics behind that one. Also, I was looking at the I-5 stats and you noted that it was just a hope, step and a jump to Canada. I always thought it was a hope, skip and a jump. I know, this really makes me a geek. One note on H3, yes you're out of date. It's got to be one of the most spectacular pieces of highway engineering in the world. Look up http://www.hawaii.gov/dot/publicaffairs/h-3/index.htm when you get a chance and checkout the H3 history. You'll love it.
My main interest in writing is about the potential extention to Interstate Highways. Two examples of this would be I-17 north to connect with I-15 in Utah and I-70 to extend to the Bay Area to augment I-80. I haven't heard much on these two items for a long time. Do you have any information on this? I would love to see them extended especially where there is truly a great need.
Another interesting project is the Hoover Dam Bypass Project. See www.hooverdambypass.org
Thank you
